She can be quite self-contradictory, uhm, yea...Though unknown where she will end up,
she still tries to see the cup half-full, believing for the best,
telling herself that everything happens for a reason.
She's no psycho, she just tends to escape into the world in her head & has conversations with the voices, uhh..

The One After 2 Months
Wednesday, November 18, 2009
Yes, still alive & kicking.
Ups and downs, but still doing well and happy.
Been eating well and drinking really well. If driving, don't drink. Since not driving, just drink! =D
Met some interesting people, some of which became quite good friends. *smiles* Met some weirdos and "friendly" men, all who I am avoiding. *shudders* Met someone too, but guess not fated. *pout*
Haven't been blogging because got no laptop, been relying on library computers to get online. Doubt will blog in details anytime soon because there's a limit of 30mins use for the library computer, and since I always have so many things to say...
Anyways, overall, in a nutshell, doing quite well I must say.
The One Where She's Waiting For Transfer
Saturday, September 12, 2009
Have been crazily busy of late, sleeping no earlier than 3AM.
Been busy coz was preparing to leave, leaving for the States, or rather, have already left (last night).
Currently in ICN, waiting for transfer flight to LAX in about 6.5hours.
Since don't have a laptop, might not be able to blog as often (depends on your own definition, heh). However, if you noticed, I have added my tweet on the side bar (yes, after a very long time, finally decided to tweet). Think it's prolly a better alternative for me to have mini uploads through mobile since no laptop.
Before I flew off last night (from KUL), people asked how I felt. Whether was I scared? Nervy? Excited?
I guess it's a bit of all, or maybe none of all. Really, I don't know. I'm just...like this lor. I do know that I would now love to snuggle up in a bed with fluffy comforter.
Had a few series of mini turbulance last night, but praise Lord that the flight was still generally a smooth one and that I'm able to use the free internet zone here in ICN. =D
Ok, gonna go off soon and be a considerate Internet Zone user, allowing someone else to take over the computer (see! I'm nice, hehe).
Till I blog again, take care & God bless! =)
P.S. From this entry, have changed time zone to GMT-7:00
The One With Merdeka Eve
Thursday, September 10, 2009
After much coming back and forward in FB PM, Emails & mobile texts, managed to have dinner with the MUFY gang on eve of Merdeka (30th August).
Food, drinks and friends, what could go wrong? Everything was well =)
Had cravings for Middle Eastern food, and settled for Al-Amar.
We took the buffet, if I haven't remembered wrongly, it was about MYR68 for each.
One of my plates
Bananas that Mindy likes
Whose lips? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
It was some weird tasting pastry that even Fred rejects, and that says a lot about it, heh.
Love the place and atmosphere, can't say the same for the food. Found the chicken a lil too dry for my liking, and the lamb a tad overcooked. For that price, I say go for buffet in Tarbush (which I did yesterday, but that's another entry...)
As a couple, you gotta have the same expressions yo!
Love the red theme in the restaurant ^^
Fred really feeling the restaurant
I think it was the 1st time I heard Fred saying he's full even after a couple of hours we left the restaurant.
Had a short walk to Bukit Bintang. It was nice, but don't think it's too much of our thing. No prize for guessing where we ended up next, heh.
AhMan focusing all his concentration on his drink!
For once, I actually did not order coffee!
After coffee, we walked around and found ourselves eneded up in...
We drank some more!
1/2 fulled or 1/2 emptied? 1/4 fulled or 3/4 emptied?
Doesn't matter what's the condition of my glass as long as I got Christ in me, and that's all that matters.
Even if when all doors seem to be closed, don't forget there are still windows. No matter what, God has a plan for all.
Ok, really gotta go hit the sack. Having flu, fever, cough and sore throat, and I need to be ok by Saturday, and I will! In Jesus name, Amen!
Pastor Kong preaches about the Cultural Mandate. Pastor Kevin (Loo) told us to be relevant. During Asia Conference 08, Pastor A.R. Bernard also touched on the topic of culture.
Businesses today are getting global, going international. When crossing borders, the other of the other side is what business always take note of. Culture is one of the biggest topic for the marketing and management classes I took.
According to one of my marketing texts, Culture is the human-made part of environment - the sum total knowledge, beliefs, arts, morals, laws, customs, and any other capabilities and habits acquired by humans as members of society.
Culture is the core of each society. Society is made up of families, religion, business, education, governments, arts & entertainment, and mass media, and they are all influenced by culture. To be relevant and have impact on a community, you need to learn about the culture and adapt.
Adapting to a certain culture doesn't lead to unholiness, holiness is more than that. You can accept and adapt a culture, yet need not to embrace the style of worship of that culture. Like one of the Chinese culture is the celebration of Lunar New Year, and I love this culture, you get to collect red packets, ahem. However, I don't go to a Buddhist temple for worship during then.
So what Jaeson Ma did, i.e. using rap to spread the gospel, is a way of adapting to the culture.
Nothing wrong with traditional hymns, but because it's rap, it definitely appeals more to today's younger generation, the young generation who will be leaders of tomorrow. And let's be honest, Ma's rap does not lose out to secular raps in anyways, does it? It sends out positive message, I'd rather get this album than raps about angst etc.
On another note, more than a month ago, wanted to get a present for Penguin as she was leaving to Australia to further her studies. After much thinking, decided to dye my hair as dark as possible. I know it's a weird gift to most people, but Penguin knows why. *grin*
Penguin's present on my head. (I miss you woman!)
I wanted to go black, but kinda freaked out when the hairstylist said, unless I bleach, I might not be able to dye my hair well for almost a year. So, besides black, ended up with the darkest available color, a deep dark shade of reddish purple.
Thing is, whatever color I dye my hair to, they always somehow turn back to a very light shade.
Picture taken less than a couple of weeks after the picture with Penguin was taken.
Anyhooo, doubt there would be high chances for me to dye my hair the next few months, I had my hair dyed black earlier this week...
Mom: "I don't like it"
Mom thinks it's too dark for me, afterall, have been dying my hair since highschool, none of which was a dark color, heh.
A couple of days later, think mom got used to it...
Mom: "I thought it's too dark, but now seeing it again, I thought otherwise, but black hair actually looks quite natural on you"
-_-
Wonder how long will this last before it turns to a lighter shade...hopefully, at least, not for the next few months.
Wanted to blog last night, but dozed off. Been pretty busy lately, so many things to do and settle, and the clock is ticking away...
Anyways, kinda in a rush now, but suddenly remembered of this vid by Lana McKissack I saw yesterday noon.
Always kinda bummed that friends don't seem to have any idea who she is when I mentioned her. McKissack has been one of my favorite youtubers, love her voice, always looking forward to her uploads. =)
So, I suck at blogging. Well, I also suck at keeping in contact and meeting up. Ok, so I suck..well, maybe not everything, ahem.
For the past couple of months of so, there's a lot of stuff I wanted to blog about, but I was busy (what's new?). Thing is, when I got the time (like now, well, not really, gotta rush off to teach soon), the feeling that spurred me to blog is no longer there. When there's no feeling, blogging will become very...blah.
Don't ask why am I still blogging coz I don't know why either, heh.
Anyhoo, met up with Sam last Thursday as she'll soon be leaving for down under to further her studies. I am happy for her that she's furthering her studies (which I believe she's gonna do great), plus this time round, she's def gonna get to experience the whole uni student life...but, at the same time it's a little sad coz she's not gonna be around. Still, I'm excited for her as it's gonna be a wonderful experience! Ok, this is something good, I'm happy for her.
Yes, I can be a lil contradictory if you haven't noticed, bleh.
Obviously there's tons of preparation stuff and one of which is shopping.
I love designer bags (who doesn't?), but as a college student, I never see the point in having one if I have to slave for it. -People should not buy things that they cannot afford, especially if they bought it for the sole reason of trying to impress!
Actually, I don't just keep limit to designers, as long as it's nice, I love it. A girl can never have too many bags (heels, jewelries and pretty clothes, ahem).
For the past few years, I have been using different C&K bags and I love them all. Firstly, they are not expensive at all! Secondly, they are all all so spacious without looking overly ginormous (I love my bags, but I think I'm an abuser too, I just stuff things into them. *shrugs*), and their designs are quite simple and classic (like me, hehe). Thirdly, for all my bags, I always get compliments and I love the compliments, making me to love C&K bags even more, teehee. Plus, I don't know any other girl in my college who carries a C&K bag. Yes, sometimes, I would scan through a room and feel satisfied that my bag looks better than the rest, hehe. *flicks hair*
So yes, I'm a C&K bag fan, and I'm so proud that Sam finally got her 1st C&K bag! *claps claps*
Do I even need to mention which one is mine?
Baby Socks! (Yes, there's a particular one which is the reason to this picture)
Had a near death accident while driving out to lunch.
Actually, we had more than one near death experiences, ha! Near death experiences, new (weird/strange) experiences all make good memories to laugh about in the future. =)
At the car park, we were signaling and waiting at the side for this car to come out. The moment that car came out, another car (which we shall call Greasy Head, GH) drove straight into that slot which we have been waiting, even the car before that knew we wanted that spot!
Giving GH the benefit of doubt, we horned to get her attention. It seemed she was trying to ignore us, trying to walk away as fast as she could. So, I horned harder and longer, finally got her attention. Wind down the window and spoke to her nicely that it was our spot as we signaled and have been waiting for it. Even cars behind us drove off as we were waiting for that spot.
Instantly, GH took offence and rose her voice, saying how it's too bad for us that we have passed the area and that she couldn't see our car from her side (which is total bull!). Then she started labeling us and called us childish! Oh woman, you picked the wrong people to steal parking spot from.
It was my 1st time seeing Penguin raising her voice. I was also already annoyed with GH's unreasonable attitude. Anyways, Penguin and I aren't the most passive people, there is nothing wrong with being assertive. It didn't take long for GH to stormed off into her car and sped off!
If for a moment GH actually thought we would back off just because she rose her voice, trying to scare us off, she could not have been more wrong. There was no way that we are going to give up our parking spot to someone like that. Man, if only Teresa was there with us, ha!
After the parking drama, we had trouble deciding where to eat (always the same problem, heh), not helping when air-cons in all the restaurants of that area weren't working on that hot sunny afternoon.
Still, we managed to survive the near death accident, parking drama, crazy heat and settled down in Marche for lunch, yay! ^^
Can you believe that salad is actually a medium portion! I initially thought it was small. Apparently, their small is really small. Is this an indication of the consumption of greens in this country?
We had balsamic dressing for the salad and the herbs in it really triggered us to cough pretty badly. >.<
Pasta - small serving (MYR11.50) & Salad - medium serving (MYR7)
Grilled Seabass (MYR14.50)
She's not closing her eyes, she's just Chinese, hee.
Hawaiian Pizza (MYR16.50)
Rosti with Beef Bacon (MYR13)
While eating halfway, the pizza looked a little messy, and Penguin couldn't resist herself...
BEFORE . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Tadah! Pizza looking less messy after being neaten by spacing out the toppings!
Yes, we might be a little anal and might have mild OCD, heh.
Guess who?
It's Asian Giraffe!
With Mr. Chrismiton JinglePuff. Yes, he's English.
Thoughtful, kind, generous, mature, strong, funny, joyful...adjectives alone cannot sum up who she really is. One thing for sure, she's definitely a good friend and I'm glad we met, I know I have a friend in her, a blessing to me. =)
I know I'm gonna miss her coz I have already started to miss her.
The One Where She Definitely Has Chinese In Her
Sunday, June 28, 2009
Read about green smoothies. In my attempt to be healthy (my coughing has been going on for months! *coughs coughs*), about a week ago, I started trying it.
My first cup
Ingredients About 3 cups of lettuce 1 small apple 1/2 avocado (just threw it in coz I was eating it earlier on) 50ml of water EDIT: Just remembered that I added yogurt as well
Be careful of how much and what you add. You may think you didn't add much, but it will turn out more than you expect! Like make-up, start simple and less, you can add on if you want. Give little, get back more in return, if only that happens in paychecks huh.
Looking at it being green and all, I was a little apprehensive about drinking it, but y'know, I guess it has to do with being Chinese where waste is a cardinal sin, esp. food, heh! Took a sip, and I must say, it didnt't taste too bad. In fact, I quite like it! ^^
From what I read, the mixture basically is 60% fruits & 40% greens. I definitely had more greens than fruits on my 1st try and it came out alright. Guess it's all trial and error, and up to each individual.
I can't say if it did made me poop more coz I tend to poop pretty well even before I started drinking it, teehee. Poop or no poop, I like it. Plus, it's healthy and less cleaning up is involved. =D
Anyways, few months ago when I was in PlazaSingapura, there was this little store that sold avocado milkshake in the supermarket. Feeling inspired, tried making one just now.
The Homemade Avocado Milkshake
Blended one avocado with 1/2 cup of milk, it was so thick that I added more milk later. If I hadn't known, I would have thought it be a facial mask.
Instead of making me poop, I felt like puking. I actually had a headache from it. I guess it was because I did not blend in with ice and blending made the milk less cold, thus it smelt and tasted like I blended it with spoilt milk. It taste no better even after adding ice cubes, it just tasted like drinking cold spoilt milk.
Googled about it, added one teaspoon of sugar and let it sat for a while. Got a little better, and sip by sip, I finished it. What to do, cannot waste, ha!
Oh yes, I did poop before blogging about it. Maybe it was really spoilt milk? o.O
The One Where She Ain't A Junk
Wednesday, June 24, 2009
Feeling a lil crappy, and doing what I do now (as in this, being on blogspot now) ain't helping.
I know that though sometimes everything will not be instantly fine and the results may not be what I want it to be, running back to Him makes me feel safer, knowing that I ain't alone.
What I want is not always what is good for me.
If you are feeling crappy, tired, disappointed, and perhaps even think you are a junk, wondering why are you doing what you are doing, watch the vid. =)
